go bananas over banana walnut cake

Baking cakes holds a very special place in my heart...I  just love it...there is an excitement in the whole process...be it the art of folding the mixture, holding the old age superstition not to look at the cake otherwise it will not rise..haah! or the delicious smell  of baking .
The other day I tried this delicious banana walnut cake..the sterling combination of bananas and walnuts makes it simply divine.

I know by now you must be craving for this cake...so without much ado here's the recipe for you:

1 tsp baking soda
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup walnut pieces

Method:
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.Add eggs and whisk it.Sieve flour, baking powder and salt and keep aside.add mashed bananas to the butter mixture.Mix it properly.Add flour mix ,fold the mixture adding vanilla essence.Fold in the nuts and mix.Transfer it  into a greased or lined baking dish and bake it for 50 minutes at 180 degrees.

Make sure you just don't finish off the cake at one go because it tastes yummier the next day.
